Talent development is a core pillar within the Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Federation (KNBSB). That is why we are proud to announce a new partnership that directly supports this ambition: triple-ID is now the Official Talent Partner of the KNBSB.
The partnership was officially signed at the Talent TeamNL Center in Amsterdam by KNBSB Technical Director Peter Kwakernaak and Mark Uppelschoten, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at triple-ID.
Where identity, data and sport come together
triple-ID specializes in Identity and Access Management (IAM). In an increasingly digital world, organizations need control, security and clarity over who has access to what, when and why.
Our role is simple to explain, but critical in execution:
We make sure people can do their work safely, efficiently and in compliance, without having to worry about the complexity behind it.
Identity and Access Management may sound technical, but at its core it is about trust, reliability and creating the right conditions for people and organizations to perform.
That mindset is exactly where we see the connection with baseball and softball.
“These sports are extremely data-driven,” explains Uppelschoten.
“Just like in our world, data must be clean, reliable and correct. In baseball and softball, the right data helps you put the right pitcher, catcher and players in the right positions. In our work, clean and secure data enables organizations to make the right decisions. And in both worlds, success depends on teamwork and trust.”
A shared focus on talent development
Our decision to enter a talent-focused partnership is very deliberate.
At triple-ID, talent development is central to how we operate. We train young professionals from different countries to become identity specialists and place them directly in real-world environments where responsibility matters.
When identity systems fail, organizations come to a standstill. That’s why our people are trained not only technically, but also in precision, accountability and high-performance delivery.
“It’s the same mentality we see in young baseball and softball talents,” says Uppelschoten.
“People working hard to realize their dreams. Education and development are essential to make that happen, whether in sport or in technology.”
A challenger mindset with international ambition
triple-ID may describe itself as a relatively small company, but one with impact across large organizations in the Netherlands and internationally.
“There’s a strong parallel with baseball and softball in the Netherlands,” Uppelschoten adds.
“Both are smaller in visibility nationally, but have enormous international impact. The Kingdom of the Netherlands teams perform at the highest level globally. That challenger mindset is something we deeply recognize ourselves in.”
By joining forces, triple-ID and the KNBSB aim to strengthen visibility, positioning and international reach, while continuing to invest in the next generation of talent.
A partnership built on trust and courage
KNBSB Technical Director Peter Kwakernaak welcomes the partnership enthusiastically:
“We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved as a team, and very happy that triple-ID has chosen to partner with us. Baseball and softball are not always the obvious choice for corporate partnerships. That makes it even more powerful when a company dares to connect its name to young talents who are still building their dreams. That takes courage, and we have great respect for triple-ID because of that.”
