KNBSB – Talent, Technology & High Performance

With over 150 clubs and 20,000 members, baseball and softball are relatively small sports in the Netherlands. This does not stop our Kingdom Teams from consistently playing an important role on both the European and global stage. Our teams have won multiple European titles, earned high rankings in international tournaments, and achieved the historic highlight of winning the Baseball World Cup in 2011.

With our Talent Team NL Center, based at Sportcentrum Ookmeer in Amsterdam, we are internationally recognized for our training philosophy and our strong focus on talent development.

International Stakeholders

As the national federation, we are part of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and its European division, WBSC Europe. Through these memberships, our national teams can participate in European and World Championships, as well as the Premier 16.

Major League Baseball (MLB) is also a key stakeholder for the KNBSB. MLB not only organizes the biggest and most well-known baseball league in the world, but it is also the organizer of the World Baseball Classic, the largest international baseball event globally.
